Triumph Speed Record Motorcycle Jacket

On September the 6th 1956, Johnny Allen set the world absolute speed record of 214.40 mph for a motorcycle at Utah’s Bonneville Salt flats. Texas racer, Allen, set multiple speed records at the controls of the "texas Ceegar”, a stream-lined outershell that encased the Triumph powered motorcycle, resulting with the 214.40 mph speed record. The Triumph Bonneville motorcycle was born. 58 years later and new for AW14 is the Speed Record jacket. Designed and inspired by the "Texas Ceegar”. The jacket takes all of its styling from that ground breaking machine from the colour to the subtle sign off of the chequered design with the white contrast piping. This heritage styled riding jacket is still full of riding technology like CE certified Knox® protection, TriTex waterproof and windproof Z liner with an additional quilted liner that can be removed too help create the perfect micro climate FOR THE RIDE. • Washed finish Bristex outer fabric • Removable CE certified Knox® protectors- elbow and shoulder • TriTex- Waterproof, windproof and breathable z-liner • Removable quilted liner • Speed Record patch to celebrate the historic 214.40MPH record • Side adjustment zippers
